In 2007, Nick Sollecito had the idea of creating a label in which he and his fellow musician friends could use as a home for their music.  He asked himself "If no major or supposed 'indie' labels wants anything to do with me, why not just start my own label?"  Nick figured if the music had some sort of representation behind it, it would appear to be more legit.  On the other side, if the label had a few great artists, the label would appear to be reputable.  Nick dubbed the label Angle Side Side (aka ASS).  Admittedly, the label started out as a joke; a jab at an industry that could care less about art and more about the almighty dollar.  

Well, it's been a few years and ASS has come a long way.  Our roster is comprised of just two groups:  The Empire Shall Fall and Symmetry. Check both groups out here.  Though still in the "up and coming" stage, both groups are gaining attention in a big way.  Both groups released albums in 2009 - The Empire Shall Fall released their debut album "Awaken," while Symmetry released a digital EP entitled "Aliens, Pirates, and Wizards."  While the two groups are polar opposites of each other, they both represent what can be done on an independent level.  Releasing great music has nothing to do with major labels anymore.   With the birth of the internet and the fall of the major labels, the "do-it-yourself" mentality is being applied by more and more artists these days.  An artist can accomplish a lot with some hard work and a little help.

Part of the intention for starting Angle Side Side was to bring together a network of professionals to help out musicians.  We now have a team of people who can help a musician or band establish themselves.  We have expanded our services to graphic design for web and print, merchandise production, band photography, video production, music engineering and music education.  These services are all provided by very talented individuals whom we work with closely on each project.  Our services are offered at very reasonable prices.
